Overview
Uploading files to Postwire is dependent on the speed of your internet connection. The larger the file, the longer it will take to upload.
If you are going to upload content to Postwire, we strongly suggest that you have an upload speed of at least 5 Mbps.
This article will explain how you can test your upload speed and what action you should take if it is lower than the recommended upload speed of 5 Mpbs.
Process
To check the upload speed of your internet connection, please follow the steps below.
- Go to Speedtest by Ookla portal.
- Wait for it to load and then click on the GO button to begin the test.
- After the test completes, you will see your upload speed in the upper right-hand corner. In this case, it is 45.61 Mbps, which is a good result.
Confirmation
Now you know your upload speed and understand why uploading a file is taking longer.
If your speed is in the low single digits (less than 5 Mpbs), you can either wait for the uploads to complete or call your ISP to upgrade your line to a higher speed.
