By default, listening to other people in a Sococo room is turned off each time you enter a Sococo Space. You can choose if you want to listen to others in the room or not. You can simply enable or disable the listen to room audio button.
You can also select a default audio output device for your Sococo space so that whenever you enter the room, you can hear the audio from your built-in speakers or from your Jabra headset.
This article outlines quick steps in adjusting your Sococo's audio settings.
Enabling or Disabling the Room Audio
If your listening to room audio option is turned on, you will be able to hear everyone in the Sococo room, even in public and open spaces such as the lobby or Townhall. If it is turned off, you will not hear them. The headset icon in the top navbar allows you to control the audio. Follow the steps below to toggle it ON or OFF.
Turn on the Sococo Room Audio
If you want to enable the Sococo room audio, click the headset icon to toggle the audio ON and Start listening to room audio. Once the headset icon is bold and highlighted in white, you are already in listening mode, which means audio is already turned on.
Turn off the Sococo Room Audio
Click the headset icon to toggle OFF and Stop listening to room audio. This will make the headset icon greyed out, denoting that the audio function is already turned off.
Audio Output Settings
Sococo will use whatever device is set by your operating system for your audio output devices.
If you have not set an output device, it will use your default audio output settings. It could be your built-in speakers, in most cases.
To select a different audio output device:
- Click the drop-down menu next to the headset icon.
- Select your preferred output device from the available options.
