This article will walk you through the steps to create a standalone Chrome shortcut straight to Sococo, that when opened, will allow Sococo to run in its own instance of Chrome in a separate taskbar icon.
Note: This option is currently available for Windows users only.
- While in the Chrome browser, at
app.sococo.com, open the main menu for Chrome (the 3 vertical dots in the top right corner).
- Go to the 'More Tools' option and select 'Create shortcut...'. Type a name for the shortcut, or leave it as the default name, which is the title of the web page you are currently on (in this case, Sococo). Mark "Open as window" to have Sococo in a separate window.
- You should now have an independent shortcut to Sococo on your desktop, which can be pinned to the taskbar just like the Sococo desktop app, and will open an independent Chrome page, just for Sococo.
Note: It matters where you are on the map when you create a shortcut. This is where you will be moved every time you start Sococo using that shortcut (if you need to log in first, you will be moved to your home room or you will have to select the space to go to).
