For security purposes, it is common in every organization for users to periodically change passwords. Changing passwords because of a forced password reset or by the user's choice to switch the password, is easy if you follow the steps in the next section.
Every user can change the password for the account. It is done from the User Management tool. Keep in mind, that if you forgot your password, you need to follow a different process, read this article to Reset your password.
This article will demonstrate the steps on how to change your password for your Sococo account.
You need to have a Sococo account, either a trial or a full account. If you forgot your password, the process to change the password will be different.
Sococo web app is best launched from the latest version of the Google Chrome browser. Other browsers are not supported and old versions of Chrome may not support all the features of the app.
- Select the menu icon to access the Options pane.
- Select Settings.
- A new Settings window will appear. Select User Management.
- From the User Info section, click the Change Password button.
- Once in the Change Your Password window, enter the following:
- your current password
- your new password, and
- confirm your new password.
NOTE: A password strength bar indicator changes color from red (weak) to either yellow (moderately strong) or green (strongest) password. The goal is to have the bar in the New Password field, turn green to indicate the strength of your newly nominated password, as in the images below.

- Click Save.
After clicking save, try to log out from the Sococo application. The new password will be asked once you log back in. Try re-logging into the Sococo application with the nominated password. If you were able to follow the steps above, you should be able to see your Sococo space.
