Sococo defaults to using whatever device you have already set as your system's audio input device. If you have not configured a device, it will copy the sound settings as set by your operating system. In most cases, this will be your built-in microphone.
Having a good audio recording device is essential if you will be in a virtual office platform as this seems to be the only way your voice is heard when interacting with colleagues. Meetings in Sococo can be structured or not, depending on the organization. It is important to be prepared with a good setup!
This article provides the steps on how you can switch your microphone or audio input/recording device.
Selecting a Microphone
- Login to Sococo.
From the top navigation bar, click on the drop-down menu next to the microphone icon.Change the settings and pick a device for the following:
- Default Audio Input Device - will be used for all other interactions that require your voice.
- Communications - used for both Sococo closed and open door meetings. This is also the audio input device for Slack calls if it is integrated with your platform.
