Sococo allows three types of chat to be displayed from the lower-right corner of the screen. This applies to both the web app and the native desktop app.
You can only select and launch one chat window at a time, among:
a private chat (a chat conversation between you and one other person).
a room chat (a chat thread viewable by all members currently present in the same room).
a Slack room/channel chat (if your Sococo is integrated with Slack).
This article shows the steps on how you can launch a room chat. It is similar to a shoutout for everyone in the same Sococo room.
To launch a room chat:
Log in to Sococo.
Go to your Sococo space.
From the People menu on the left, click the Chat in <room name> option.
Note: The chat history is saved locally on your machine. This means that you can see only the room chat history for chats where you were present in the room. If there was a chat in the room, and you were not present there at the time, you will not see that chat nor find it later in history.
A new chat window allowing you to message everyone in the Sococo space will popup in the lower-right of the screen. This looks more like a group chat where you can see who else joined the group chat room or left it.
