To start a meeting on Zoom, follow the next steps:
Click the Talk button at the top-right part of the screen.
If you are starting a Zoom meeting from Sococo for the first time, you need to authorize the integration.
You will be prompted to log into your Zoom account (or Sign up for one if you do not have it already).
Once you are logged in, you need to Authorize the Sococo app to access your Zoom account.
The Zoom meeting starts as it usually would.
You might need to confirm opening a Zoom Meeting in the browser.
The Zoom meeting is created.
Any activity in Sococo after you initiate the Zoom meeting will not close the Zoom meeting. You can move your avatar in Sococo space, or even close the Sococo app, and your Zoom meeting will not be affected.
Once the meeting starts, the room you are in will have the Zoom meeting icon to the right of the room name, and the avatars that are in the meeting will also have the Zoom icon.
All users that are present in the room (when you start a Zoom meeting using the "Talk" button) will get the notification to join the meeting.
To prevent more users from joining your Zoom meeting, you can follow these tips:
Start the meeting in a room where all present users are supposed to be a part of the Zoom meeting, as they all will be receiving the notification to join.
Allocate several rooms in the space for ad-hoc meetings, so you can go there if you do not want to disturb all other users in your room with a Zoom meeting invite that is not intended for them.
To prevent other users from joining your Zoom meeting, you can close the door of the room you are in so that users entering your room will require you to allow them in before joining the Zoom meeting.
