After installing the previous version of the Sococo desktop application on the Windows OS, some users received the following error message when starting the Sococo app for the first time:
"SococoDev has stopped working"
A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available.
This article provides information about the cause of the error and its resolution.
We confirmed that an outdated system file in the Windows Operating System causes the issue, most likely due to disabled Windows Updates or restricted company policies on updates.
A new version of the Sococo desktop application has been released, which successfully resolves this issue. To take advantage of this new release, please do the following:
- Uninstall the old version of the Sococo desktop app.
- Clear cache files.
- Install the latest version using the process detailed in the article on Reinstalling Sococo's Desktop Application to Resolve Issues.
When you start the Sococo desktop app after installing the latest version, the error message does not appear, and the app opens normally.
