When joining a Zoom meeting, you might get a window prompting you for a meeting password. This password is not related to the Sococo application. It is a Zoom security setting that is set up by the creator of the Zoom meeting. This article will provide information on how to disable password protection on Zoom meetings.
Zoom allows users to set individual meeting security policy. One option is to have password protection for every meeting. When meetings are password-protected, every user needs to enter a password before they are allowed to join the meeting. This kind of security setting can affect Zoom integration with Sococo by creating unintended barriers to meetings.
Disabling the Password Protection Requirement
Users starting the meeting need to share the password or disable password protection in Zoom settings using the process detailed below:
Open your Zoom settings.
Under General, click on View Advanced Features.
Disable the Require a password when scheduling new meetings setting in Zoom, so the meetings will not require a password. This setting is disabled in the image below.
When joining meetings created by a user where the Require a password when scheduling new meetings setting is disabled, a password is not required.
