Accessing a Space in Sococo is only allowed if users are members of the space. If the user is not a member of the Sococo space, access will not be authorized, and the user will be unable to access the space.
There are several cases where you can face the space access issues and see the following errors:
- Members only - it is not possible to use knock feature with users that are in other spaces where you are not a member
- Get not authorized - it is not possible to use Get User feature if the invited user is not a member of the space
- Users cannot enter a space if they were removed from members of the space
There can be several reasons why you would not be able to access space in Sococo. Most often, it is an issue with the membership, and you not being a member of the space you want to enter. In other cases, it can be an issue on the Sococo side, possible maintenance, or outage that is preventing the normal functioning of the app.
Step 1: Check the status of the Socoo app
To make sure if the problem is on the Sococo side, please review the Sococo status page. If you see ongoing maintenance or an outage, that is the most probable cause of the issue you are having, and it will be resolved by our team. If all systems as Operational, please proceed to the next step.
Step 2: Ask to be Invited to Space
Contact anyone in your organization and ask them to invite you to the space in question. Once you are added as a member, you will be able to access the space.
Try accessing the space you had the issues with. You should have access as you are a member now.
If there are no issues on the Sococo Status page, and you are a member of the space you are trying to access, but you still have issues accessing the space, please follow up on the ticket with Support to review the issue further. Make sure you provide the following information on the ticket:
- The email address you are using to access Sococo
- Name of the space you are having issues accessing
A Support agent will review the issue further and let you know the solution.
