Overview
Sococo can have issues not loading all elements in a space map, including the contact panel on the left and the Spotlight search bar. This can be caused by network issues, cache, or application issues. This article provides the steps to resolve this issue.
Solution
Step 1. Force reload the Sococo app
The fastest way to fix the issue is to refresh the browser or desktop application. It will re-establish all connections and reload the content. To force reload both the web app and the desktop app: press Ctrl + Shift + R on Windows or Cmd + Shift + R on Mac.
Step 2. Confirm is spotlight search is visible in incognito
It is possible that the issue is caused by your cache. To confirm this, do the following:
- Open Sococo web app in a Chrome Incognito mode
- Log in to your Sococo account and go to your office space
If the contact panel and the Find field are not displayed, the issue is most likely on the Sococo side. Please follow up on a support ticket explaining the issue in detail.
If the contact panel and the spotlight search bar are visible, you have confirmed that you need to clear your cache.
Step 3. Clear Cache
The Sococo cached files that are causing the issue need to be removed from your system. To do this, follow the steps on how to clear Sococo cache for the version of the app you are using:
Testing
Once the cache is cleared, log in to your Sococo account and go to your office space. The contact panel and the Find bar should be displayed. If these elements are still not visible, please follow up on a support ticket explaining the issue in detail and provide steps you performed so far.
